A Converstation with Mark Alan Hughes - Getting Your Green Career Started

Join the Emerging Green Builders for a brown bag lunch with Philadelphia’s new Director of Sustainability. Mark Hughes will field questions from young professionals and students on how to start and advance their careers in sustainable fields, what sustainable initiatives are in store for Philadelphia, and how young sustainable professionals can get involved.

This informal and intimate session is geared toward young professionals, students, or those embarking on new career paths in sustainable fields.

Our guest, Mark Alan Hughes, is the first Director of Sustainability for the City of Philadelphia, serving as a Senior Adviser to Mayor Nutter. Dr. Hughes joined the Nutter Administration from the University of Pennsylvania’s Fox Leadership Program. He also writes a regular column in Philly.com’s Green section.
