Art Exhibit - Problemy in Art

Problemy plays with the humble yet hugely important artifacts of daily life. In their work, the Dufala Brothers amplify the excesses of a manufactured world; at Haverford, they will provide a gorgeous angle on trash––both in the gallery and through site-specific installations on the Haverford campus.

Art from Dufala Brothers Steven and Billy Blaise, drawings, paintings, digital prints and sculpture. Billy Blaise Dufala is a co-founder of RAIR and the pilot artist for the RAIR residency program. Several pieces in this show are made from recycled materials that were sourced through RAIR, Recycled Artist-In-Residency, work to connect art and sustainability in Philadelphia by providing artists with salvaged materials and comfortable workspace while increasing awareness about the waste stream.

Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery, Haverford College September 3 - October 8, 2010 Opening Reception: Friday, September 3, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Gallery Talk: Thursday, September 16, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
