Philadelphia University has opened a building to house its sustainability programs and outreach efforts.

The Center for Sustainability, Energy Efficiency and Design, or SEED Center, opened at the start of the university’s fall semester. It’s a former gymnasium built in 1968 that most recently was used for storage. The university renovated it from February to September at a cost of $4 million.
