On Wednesday Oct. 19, 6pm in Kanbar Center, Prof. Guy Marriage FNZIA, Director of Building Science at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, will be presenting the Victoria University First Light entry from the 2011 US Department of Energy Solar Decathlon International Design Competition, recently held in Washington DC. First Light took first place in the engineering category and took 3rd place overall, beating out a late challenge by the SCI-ARC/ Caltech team. Prof. Marriage will be discussing the planning and design process, sustainable technologies, and the logistics of organizing an entry from the Southern hemisphere.
