Global Warming 2010: Creating Jobs & Saving the Planet

The Academy of Natural Sciences, PennFuture, the American Cities Foundation and 350 Philly are teaming up to explore the threat of climate change, and why we need to act now for the sake of our environment and our economy.

Who, What, When, Where, and Why of climate change, and the opportunities it provides to expand the economy, create green jobs, and preserve the planet. Speakers will provide details of global warming initiatives and state and federal legislation and how they would move us forward.

Featured speaker is Bill McKibben, world-renowned environmentalist, author, and founder of the international climate campaign 350.org.

Admission is free but seating will be limited. Auditorium seating will be available on a first-come/first served basis.

Preferred seating will be available for Academy and Penn Future members.
